Piedone, the first photos from the set of the series with Salvatore Esposito and Fabio Balsamo Naples is the scene of the filming of Piedone, a new Sky Original series, which will soon be available on both Sky and Now, with Salvatore Esposito as the protagonist.
The actor who plays a police inspector, heir to the iconic Inspector Rizzo, played by Bud Spencer in Piedone the Sbirro of 1973. From the first exclusive photos from the set, the other protagonists also emerge, namely Silvia D’ Friend and Fabio Balsamo. The authors of the series story are Salvatore Esposito, Giuseppe Pedersoli, Peppe Fiore, Laura Grimaldi, Paolo Piccirillo and Jacopo Sonnino. Piedone is a 4-episode series produced by Sky Studios, Wildside, a Fremantle group company and Titanus Production, a Titanus group company, written by Peppe Fiore (Lovely Boy, Il Re).
Salvatore Esposito plays Vincenzo Palmieri, a police inspector who comes from the street and belongs to the street. Just like his mentor, Inspector Rizzo, the mythological Piedone, from whom he learned everything Plot: Inspector Vincenzo Palmieri returns to Naples, after years of absence, to settle some accounts with the past. Despite being a policeman, he doesn’t like weapons, and is a student of Inspector Rizzo, known to most as Piedone. Once he arrives at the station he will have to earn the trust of his team and demonstrate that, even if using methods that are not exactly correct, he will be able to solve the cases that await him. Returning to his city of origin is important for Palmieri because between one investigation and another, between twists and new emotions, he will try to reunite with the past and make peace with his demons.
